Gorilla Zoo & the recently refurbished Moorside Club’s collaboration Live Venue is a professional live music, event and sporting venue in the heart of Halifax, West Yorkshire. Gorilla Zoo boasts a fully professional team dedicated to bringing Halifax the best in live music entertainment.

400 standing
250 seated theatre style
200 seated cabaret style

 

AGE RESTRICTIONS

Any person under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Responsibility for any person under 16 is with the accompanying adult. Any shows programmed for over 18 will be advertised as such. For all 18+ events, proof of ID will be required. The forms of ID we accept are Driving Licence and Passport. Holding a valid ticket is not proof of age.

 

PARKING FACILITIES

Parking facilities are available (40 spaces & open 24 hrs) situated to the side of the venue on Keighly Road.  The use of public transport, taxis & trains etc. is highly recommended and Halifax bus and train stations are within 10 minute drive of the venue.

 

 

WHEELCHAIR FACILITIES

The Moorside Live Lounge takes the needs of wheelchair users very seriously and actively encourages people of all abilities to attend the events scheduled at the venue The Moorside Live Lounge has been built to allow easy access from street level to the main auditorium and throughout.

 

If customers wish to arrive at the venue 10 minutes prior to stated door time for show we will be happy to help in any way we can. 

 

Please note Strobe Lights, Haze and Smoke might be used on some shows, for further details please ask at the entrance on your arrival at the venue.

TICKETS TERMS
& CONDITIONS

 

  • The Moorside Live Lounge Venue adopts a neighbourhood friendly policy so please make as little noise as possible on entering and leaving the venue.

  • The Moorside Live Lounge reserves the right to refuse entry.

  • No bottles, cans, alcohol or food is to be brought into the venue.

  • No illegal substances may be brought into or taken on the premises. Anyone caught in possession of such substances will be ejected from the premises and may be reported to the police.

  • The Moorside Live Lounge operates a strict non-smoking policy throughout the venue, athough there are designated smoking areas outside.

  • Ticket holders may be subject to continuous sound level which may cause damage to hearing.

  • There may be use of strobe lights throughout a performance.

At the Moorside 'GZ' can accommodate events of all sizes and occasions. Our two indoor floors can be segregated with separate entrances or they can be connected for larger events.

The Moorside is also available during the day for photo shoots, private events, birthday parties, anniversaries, and just about any other event imaginable!

GZ has various relationships with local caterers and restaurants that can provide most any type of food at your event. If you have a favorite restaurant or caterer that you’d like to use for your event, we would d be happy to work them.
